Dear ex-best friends
Dear ex-best friends,
I think about you sometimes. Every blue moon our memories wash over me like an ocean wave. Feelings that arise are joy, sadness, appreciation and reminiscence. I’m sorry I was the one to teach you all heartbreak and apathy. I hope you’ve only grown from it.
Disclaimer: I’ve had 3 close friends all end their relationship with me and it feels so weird to be “broken up with.” But I’m so glad they did. As I’m sure they learned some life lessons from mustering up the courage to end our friendship - I too gained invaluable lessons. I learned what being jealous means and feels like. I learned I have to stand up for my friends and not judge them. And, I learned what being selfish means and feels like.
I know you’ve moved on and you most likely will never read this because we’re no longer in connection, but I just want to say that I love you and thank you for the memories.

Of All Trades,
Amber
