No one was raised the “right” way

There are characteristics in everyone that were implanted from parenting that maybe need to be re-written. From quick tempers to being judgmental - no one is perfect.

The other day I realized I yell at Gabe when I’m frustrated because that’s how situations were handled growing up. After realizing the apple really doesn’t fall far from the tree I thought about how I’d like to be approached if someone were frustrated at me. I’ve since become cognizant to how I handle myself when we are frustrated at one another.

I’ve found myself constantly asking why do I do this, or that and seeing if the answer suits the person I want to be. Bottom line, being aware of why we do what we do can open many opportunities towards growth.
